CFO

I have been working as a professional accountant for the past 15 years, specializing in privately owned corporations. After completing my articles at one of the Big Four firms, I started my own practice as an auditor and corporate finance consultant. In this capacity, I performed CFO roles for corporations not large enough to hire a full-time Chief Financial Officer. As a corporate finance consultant, my primary role is to assist clients in making major financial and investment decisions while interpreting the tax implications of various business transactions.

Outside of work, I am a devoted husband and father to five children (three boys and two girls). I spend most of my time coaching soccer for one of my son's teams, who aspires to play at a high level.

Did you know that I’m an avid motorcycle enthusiast? When I’m not enjoying the sunshine and wind in my hair, I bring the same passion to helping businesses resolve their issues. I have honed my business and leadership skills over 29 years with the Provincial Government, a Master’s in Business Administration in Executive Leadership and International Study, and through my previous roles as CEO, VP of Partnerships and Business Development, and as a business consultant. I led a structural reorganization within a Ministry, creating 16 new out-of-scope roles and streamlining 11 geographical regions into three to enhance efficiency. I have assisted businesses in the post-secondary education and construction fields to assess efficacy and scale up to increase revenue. My extensive business network, both internationally and in Canada, is bolstered by my involvement in Business Network International and TEC Canada Key Executives Group.
