Sourcing Specialist (Contractor)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our
team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in
sourcing vendors from Asia or Africa, with 3-5 years of experience in a tech company.
This role involves identifying, evaluating, and managing vendor relationships to ensure
the highest quality and cost-effectiveness for our North American-based client.
Key Responsibilities:
· Vendor Identification and Evaluation:
Identify potential vendors in Asia and Africa for various tech-related products and services.
Evaluate vendor capabilities, reliability, and performance.
Conduct market research to identify trends and new sourcing opportunities.
· Vendor Management:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with selected vendors.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.
· Procurement Processes:
Coordinate with internal teams to understand sourcing requirements and specifications.
Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and vendor interactions.
· Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with sourcing from international vendors.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience as a Sourcing Specialist, preferably in a tech company.
Proven experience in sourcing vendors from Asia or Africa.
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent analytical and research abilities.
Familiarity with procurement processes and best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
