Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sourcing Specialist to join our

team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in

sourcing vendors from Asia or Africa, with 3-5 years of experience in a tech company.

This role involves identifying, evaluating, and managing vendor relationships to ensure

the highest quality and cost-effectiveness for our North American-based client.

Key Responsibilities:

· Vendor Identification and Evaluation:

• Identify potential vendors in Asia and Africa for various tech-related products and services.

• Evaluate vendor capabilities, reliability, and performance.

• Conduct market research to identify trends and new sourcing opportunities.

· Vendor Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with selected vendors.

• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve the best possible outcomes.

• Monitor vendor performance and address any issues or concerns.

· Procurement Processes:

• Coordinate with internal teams to understand sourcing requirements and specifications.

• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and vendor interactions.

· Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with sourcing from international vendors.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience as a Sourcing Specialist, preferably in a tech company.

• Proven experience in sourcing vendors from Asia or Africa.

• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

• Excellent analytical and research abilities.

• Familiarity with procurement processes and best practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
