Job Description:
The SAP Security Analyst works directly with the SAP Security lead to manage security
across SAP systems related to project work. This work with the Security lead for the
design and implementation of security solutions to provide a reliable SAP environment.
Job Duties:
Understand and apply SAP / Application security principles, SAP security implementation methodologies, role-based access controls, distributed systems administration, and distributed system analysis;
Configure security in SAP to meet established security requirements for projects;
Deliver security solutions for projects meeting Project Management requirements;
Interact with management and Functional Teams to propose SAP security design solutions;
Identify, assess and solve complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors;
Closely follow the strategic direction set by management when establishing goals;
Have some latitude in decision-making. Act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments;
Demonstrate knowledge in some areas of mining industry or functional specialty;
Conduct security and continuity assessment;
Assume responsibility for small / medium components of engagements;
Contribute to engagement planning and ensuring that deliverables meet work plan objectives;
Other duties as required.
Mandatory Skills:
Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent is required
Strong knowledge of S/4HANA and its functions. Strong hands on experience with security configuration in various SAP systems including Java and ABAP based systems
Exposure to one or more SAP cloud platform capabilities: ABAP, integration, Workflow, User Experience, mobility.
Exposure to non ABAP technologies: SAML, oData, oAuth etc.
Applicant is required to have a strong development and applications background
Desired Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience managing security across complex SAP landscape/environment (comprising S/4HANA 2022, ARIBA, BPC, BTP) that supports core business functions like finance, procurement, plant maintenance and supply chain, in accordance with SAP and industry best practices.
Experience in participating in transformation initiatives for mid to large scale organization
4+ years of any S/4HANA application enhancement and implementation will be preferred
Extensive security configuration experience with HANA, Java and ABAP based
Experience in advanced frameworks: BOL, BOPF, BRF Plus, CDS etc.
Experience in driving business process improvement initiatives
Top 3 must haves:
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA and Ariba Security
Strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Project: This project will combine the acquired Newcrest employee records and HR processes into the Newmont systems and processes. There will be significant change management needs for employees that will be integrated from the Newcrest systems
into the Newmont systems.
